Barrett Block is the President of The Castle Jewelry and Pawn, a chain of 12 jewelry stores and pawn shops throughout Kentucky and Ohio, founded by his family, in 1988. Barrett also owns and operates The Castle Arms, a wholesaler and online retailer of firearms and ammunition. In addition, Barrett is an attorney, having graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2020 where he now serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching Law and Economics. Prior to law school, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, concentrating in Finance, earning distinction as a Ben Franklin and Joseph Wharton Scholar. Professionally, Barrett has also served as the Policy Director for a gubernatorial campaign and a law clerk to Judge Justin Walker.
