What’s with the name?
Diadochi is Ancient Greek for “Successors”
pronounced: DYAH-doh-chee
Alexander the Great’s death in 323 BC sparked decades of in-fighting and civil wars amongst his generals.
No succession planning destroyed the Macedonian Empire.
Diadochi Capital will prevent destruction of value by providing a successor to an owner seeking an exit.
About Our Founder
Jake Linton - Managing Partner of Diadochi Capital
Jake founded Diadochi Capital to pursue two lifelong dreams: to own and operate a business and to rebuild American manufacturing might.
Jake is an engineer, from a family of engineers, not an investment banker or private equity guy. He is not looking at your business as “an asset class”. He wants to continue your family’s legacy, bring America manufacturing back home from overseas and provide stable jobs for local communities.
He began his corporate career working for a Daikin company doing machine design, fabrication, and implementation in factories throughout the Southeast. Then, as a Production Engineer at Toyota, he immersed himself in Lean Manufacturing. For 3 years, Jake led the Mazda Toyota joint-venture project in Huntsville, Alabama, starting before the groundbreaking ceremony and closing the projects after the Toyota Corolla Cross and Mazda CX-50 were rolling off of the production lines.
On Labor Day 2020, Jake broke his tibia and fibula in a compound fracture while wakeboarding. After a helicopter lift, a titanium rod, four screws, and a bacteria infection, Jake began the recovery process. Since then, he has run three marathons and an ultra-marathon. Through the traumatic experience, Jake has become a more urgent, determined, and disciplined person. As he says, “my right leg is a constant Memento Mori”.
Jake graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and Emory University with a Master of Business Administration.
Jake lives in Atlanta with his wife Alex, daughter Frances, and their field Golden Retriever, Ellie. He enjoys bass fishing, boating, running, chess, and reading history books - hence the name of the company.
